Recent epidemiological
studies indicate that pituitary adenomas and related hormonal problems
are much more prevalent than previously thought. There is a growing
consensus amongst pituitary specialists around the world that these
disorders which manifest themselves in many common ways (obesity,
diabetes, hypertension, infertility, sexual dysfunction, headaches and
visual loss), often go misdiagnosed or undiagnosed for many years,
delaying optimal treatment.
This conference will provide internists, general practitioners,
endocrinologists, obstetricians, ophthalmologists, neurologists,
neurosurgeons, psychologists and other interested health care providers
with a comprehensive update on the epidemiology, diagnosis, and
treatment of patients with pituitary tumors and related hormonal
disorders.
